Urethane vs Ionomer? Both are materials used on the cover of golf balls but what is the difference between them and how does each affect your game?

Callaway Chrome Soft - Urethane cover

You'll usually find that balls at the premium end of the market, like the Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X, have Urethane covers due to its noticeably softer feel and fantastic feedback, which is why they're the go-to choice for many Tour pros.

A warmer option
