Looking to upgrade your equipment?

Things have been excellent since we have returned and been very busy, we want to thank you all for your support on our return!

Stock issues are pretty well sorted now for this year, however there are still a few items that are going to be tough to get hold of. Shoes, bags and electric trollies are worst effected so please if you are looking into getting any of these this year contact us sooner than later to try and avoid a long wait time!

Strong performances in lots of custom fits with all of the new equipment continues - very impressed with all of the brands 2021 line ups so far! Seems to be able to beat 2020 products fairly comfortably. Get in touch if you are wanting to book a fit - they are going fast!

Club news

Club notices

Again the green staff have done an absolutely fantastic job. The warmth in the last week or so has done the course wonders. It is as strong as we have ever seen it for this early in the year - huge credit to them - we have heard nothing, but praise for it which is fantastic!

The rose garden outdoor seating area is now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday with no booking necessary. Great place to take advantage of this great run of weather! Long may it last!

The seniors' section now have the entry lists up for the annual away day, the singles knockout and the 4BBB knockout tournaments. Anyone wishing to enter pop your name down on the noticeboard in the foyer.

The draw for the Moyes Macleod Knockout is now up in the main lobby too, good luck to everyone that has entered, tremendous number of entries again this year!

Can we please remind people to follow the government and England Golf guidance at all times around the club - we have seen some incidents in the last week of people not following these. They are there to control the spread of Covid-19 and keep the club and course we all love open. Buggies are single use only, unless in the same household. Face coverings MUST be worn at all times in the clubhouse and pro shop - this is law. The large majority are following the rules but let's all work together to keep things open!

Golf on Tour

When it rains it pours...

They say ‘when it rains, it pours’ and Max Kieffer was soaked after sticking three balls in the water on the fifth play-off hole of the European Tour’s Austrian Open. America’s John Catlin proceeded to lift his third trophy in 13 European Tour starts.

On the LPGA Tour, former World No. 1 Lydia Ko stormed her way back into the winning circle with a seven-stroke victory at the Lotte Championship. An emphatic -28 winning score ended the New Zealander’s three-year winless run. We can only wonder what’s to come!

The benefits of lasers

We can expect to hear plenty of chatter over the next month about the use of laser rangefinders at the upcoming PGA Championship. Many golfers have already invested in GPS technology to help them tackle the course, but a Bushnell laser might just be the final piece of the jigsaw.
