Shop news

Pro Shop raffle

We are running another Pro Shop Raffle this month, tickets will be limited to 100, at £5 each and the winner will get £500 to spend in the pro shop on whatever they like! Tickets available in the pro shop or by phone if you aren't at the club. The draw will be made on the last day of the month.

Club news

The Archibald Challenge - Sunday 9th May

The Archibald Challenge honours our sesquicentennial & the hickory challenge which took place in 2019. There are individual Stableford competitions for men and woman along with a scratch prize for men.

Play in ANY tee time up until 15:30 and all scores MUST be entered by 20:00pm, the competition will close automatically at this point.

Entry and score entry can be done on the PC in the main lobby as usual.

Bar and catering hours

The above have both been extended due to excellent usage so far - thank you to everyone that has been and tried our new rose garden outdoor seating area. We all hope you enjoy it!

Bar and catering are now open most days - a full list of the new schedule can be found in the clubhouse or call the club to check if you aren't around.

Golf on Tour

Hovland set for Ryder Cup debut

Sam Burns took the fight to Florida’s famous Copperhead course, staying in the 60s all week to win the Valspar Championship with a -17 total. Finding the water on the par-3 13th cost Keegan Bradley his shot at the title, while Victor Hovland continued a fantastic season with a T3 finish; now sitting third in the FedEx Cup rankings. He’s a special talent and looks likely to be part of Europe's Ryder Cup team come September.

It also takes something special to beat a Major champion, and Hyo Joo Kim has that in abundance. The young South Korean soared past five different Major winners, including Inbee Park and her seven titles, to claim the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s World Championship in stunning style at the weekend.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be looking at what you’ve got in the bag and where there’s room for improvement. There’s only one place to start, though, right? The one we all love letting rip and hate watching fly out of bounds… It’s the driver!

How are you getting on with your driver?
