Winter Competitions
Every weekend from now until the 2016 season begins we will be running a Pro Stableford which will run over both weekend days. You can only enter once over the two days. The format each weekend will be stableford from the yellow tees and from this weekend preferred lies will be in operation for this competition. The competitions will be played off your full handicap and winnings will be paid out weekly as shop credit. To enter, visit the pro shop before you play on Saturday or Sunday!
What a record
This year we've been treated to some wonderful individual performances; Jordan Spieth's Major quest springs to mind, before Jason Day took over and put on one or two exhibitions himself. However, the women's game has a superstar of its own and her victory at the Taiwan Championship on Sunday is arguably the story on the season.
New Zealand's Lydia Ko hit a final-round seven-under 65 to win by nine shots and reclaim the number one spot. It was the 18-year-old's fourth round of under 70 as she became the youngest player to earn 10 wins on the LPGA Tour. Now that's impressive.
So, for all our junior members out there, the bar has been set!
Back to club life and now that the clocks have gone back, it's the ideal time to work on your game. If you're struggling to get your weekly fix of golf as the nights close in, why not take to the range instead? Come and speak to the team and we can help ensure you are making the most of your range time, as opposed to making bad habits worse - get in touch here.

Lynx Products
We are now an authorized fitting centre for Lynx golf. Lynx, as many of you will remember, was one of the world's leading golf equipment brands in the 1990's with tour players such as Fred Couples and Ernie Els using their equipment. Lynx took a bit of a downturn in the early 2000's when it was purchased by Golfsmith, an American company, who produced cheap, low quality golf equipment and sent the brand into the depths of the equipment market.
The brand was bought out a few years ago by a British couple who are very keen on getting the brand back to where it once was and are now producing excellent equipment once more. The result of their hard work over the past few years is that now, Tour players such as Nick Dougherty are using the equipment and after having a chat with a Lynx Rep today, they're keen to show you that the product can perform as well as the bigger more established companies on the market. We have a limited range of demo products in store for you to try as of today and come January we will be stocking a full demo range with their new Predator, Black Cat, and Boom ranges.
The new Black Cat iron range features the same technology as TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway irons do but instead of retailing at over £500 you can get a full set for under £350 ! Fully custom fitted.
For more information click here or speak to John or David in the shop. Make sure you come and give a Lynx club a try, you will be very surprised at how good they really are!
